Pelumi joined Sister Pictures in July 2017 to support the busy development team. After graduating from Bristol University with a BA in English, he interned at Twofour Broadcast providing assistance for the development team there, with a focus on factual/entertainment. He soon moved on to become a reader for Element Pictures and Mammoth Screen and in September 2017 he joined The Agency as Agent’s Assistant/Receptionist, responsible for the day-to-day management of the office, before taking on the role of script intern for Tiger Aspect Drama team.

He enjoys long walks on the beach, Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain.

Emine joined Sister Pictures in January 2019 and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the office. After graduating from Coventry University with a BA in Media Production, she also graduated from the MAMA Youth Project in 2017. She interned at Endemol Shine Dragonfly as a Production Assistant. Soon after she worked on providing logistical help at Kidscave Studios and CPL Productions working on Robozuna (CITV) and Alan Carr’s Christmas Cracker (Channel 4). “People have forgotten how to tell a story. Katie Joined Sister Pictures in January 2016 to develop a diverse slate of television projects from both new and established writers. Prior to joining Sister Pictures, Katie worked in the development team at Kudos and script edited both the BAFTA nominated Flowers for C4 and The Tunnel: Debris for Sky Atlantic. Katie began her career in theatre working for Battersea Arts Centre, Manchester Royal Exchange, Bristol Old Vic and Shakespeare’s Globe.

Prior to joining Sister Pictures in February 2017, Laura was a Counsel at international law firm Reed Smith LLP specializing in all aspects of film and television production and finance for dramas, feature documentaries and children’s programming.  She acted for independent film and television producers, banks, studios, completion guarantors and financiers and worked on projects includingDad’s ArmyTop Boy and A Little Chaos and the upcoming McMafia, Journey’s End and Stan & Ollie.

Laura is a qualified solicitor and member of The Law Society.  She qualified in 2001.

Jane founded Sister Pictures in November 2015 – an independent television production company specialising in authored, bold and distinctive stories for UK and international audiences.

Sister’s current projects include The Split by Abi Morgan for BBC 1, Clean Break by Mark Marlowstarring Sheridan Smith for ITV, Flowers by Will Sharpe and The Bisexual, created by and starring Desiree Akhavan, both for Channel 4 and The Power by award-winning writer Naomi Alderman.

Before setting up Sister Pictures Jane was Chief Executive of Kudos where she executive produced some of the most innovative and groundbreaking dramas in the UK, including the multi award-winning BBC1 hit Spooks; era-defining Emmy-winner Life on Mars, and the highly successful and multi-award winning Broadchurch (ITV1).

She was made a Fellow of the Royal Television Society in 2011 and in 2007 received the Contribution to the Medium Award at the Women in Film and TV awards.

Executive Producer

Chris spent the early part of his career as a first assistant director when he worked on many series including Spooks and Hustle; Tom Hooper’s Golden Globe® Award and BAFTA winning Longford (C4); Charles II with Joe Wright (BBC1), Secret Life with Rowan Joffe (C4); and Tsunami: The Aftermath with Bharat Nalluri (BBC1/HBO).

After becoming a producer, Chris worked on seasons 8, 9 & 10 of the long running Kudos show Spooks, two of which were BAFTA nominated for best series. He has also produced Mayday, a 5×60 thriller for BBC1, and The Smoke, 8×60 series written by the award-winning playwright Lucy Kirkwood for Sky 1.

Chris also produced season one of Humans for C4 and AMC. The series recorded the highest viewing figures for a C4 drama in 26 years and was also nominated for best drama series in both the RTS and BAFTA awards. He then went on to executive produce season two that received great critical acclaim both in the UK and US.

He joined Sister Pictures as an executive producer in January 2017.

Prior to joining Sister Pictures in June 2016, Dan spent 13 years working alongside Jane Featherstone at Kudos as Managing Director, COO and then latterly as CEO.He looks after all the production, finance, commercial, legal and operational bits of Sister Pictures. Dan has a particular expertise in financing high end television and international co-productions.

Dan is an elected member of BAFTA’s Television Committee.

Before he started in television Dan worked as a Dentist and as an actor.

Gina’s production career began in documentaries and features, including multi-award winning films such as Derek Jarman’s Wittgenstein, Kevin MacDonald’s Touching the Void filmed in the Peruvian Andes and the Alps and Nick Broomfield’s Ghosts.  Gina has worked all over the world, including remote parts of Norway and Svaalbard in the Arctic filming Asif Kapadia’s Far North.  She has run several productions in Malta, where she has a home, including Alejandro Amenabar’s film Agora and TV dramas The Whale and The Eichmann Show for the BBC.  Over the past decade, she has line produced successful TV shows for Hat Trick, Origin Pictures, Carnival, Kudos, Sid Gentle and Blueprint, including Downton Abbey series 5, The Tunnel series 2 & 3 and Broadchurch series 3.  In 2016 she produced Neil Gaiman’s Likely Stories and just before joining Sister Pictures in 2018 she line produced multi award-winning series A Very English Scandal.

Naomi is an Executive Producer within Sister Pictures as well as heading up her own label, Hootenanny, specialising in distinctive narrative comedy.

Her current projects for Hootenanny include the second series of Bafta-nominated Flowers by Will Sharpe, Desiree Akhavan’s The Bisexual, both for C4. And for Sister Pictures The Power by award-winning writer Naomi Alderman.

Naomi started her career writing, performing and directing live comedy. After a brief stint as a director’s assistant on New Line’s The Golden Compass, producing and casting in factual entertainment and a BFI-award nominated documentary about Malcolm Hardee’s anarchic Tunnel Club, she moved into script editing, working on Spooks, Lip Service and Mayday closely with Abi Morgan as Script Editor on The Hour and as an Associate Producer on River. She was head of Development at Kudos for four years, in which time she developed Humans, Apple Tree YardTin Star, amongst others. After developing and producing the first series of Flowers, she moved to Sister Pictures in Spring 2016.

Alice started her career as a trainee at the BBC, gaining experience across production, development and commissioning, before moving to the independent sector to work as a Story and Field Producer in factual entertainment and structured reality. When not in production, she worked a freelance script reader for a wide variety of broadcasters, independent production companies and theatres and in development across all genres, before joining the development team at Drama Republic full-time. She moved to Sister Pictures in July 2017 to script edit the second series of Flowers for Channel 4, and to work as Development Executive across their busy development slate.

Head of Communications

With over 16 years experience in the field of Press and Communications, Alex Wells joined Sister Pictures in October 2017 as Head of Communications. Alex oversees all corporate strategy for Sister Pictures as well as working alongside global broadcast partners in delivering high-profile campaigns for all Sister Pictures and Hootenanny productions.

Prior to this role, Alex played an integral role within the small communications team at Endemol Shine Group, having joined in 2013 as part of Shine Group, and was responsible for devising corporate and consumer strategies for all 27 production companies under the Group’s umbrella, including Kudos (Broadchurch, Humans, The Tunnel), House of Tomorrow (Black Mirror), Dragonfly  (One Born Every Minute), Artists Studio (The Fall), Filmlance (Bron) and Shine TV (The Island, Hunted) as well as implementing outward facing global communications for the company’s sales and distribution arm, Endemol Shine International.

Other roles held include various positions within the in-house scripted publicity teams at Channel 4, BBC and ITV, creating and executing high-profile launch campaigns for award-winning UK and US titles such as Utopia, This Is England, Homeland, True Blood, Glee, The Good Wife, Misfits, Spooks and Little Britain.

Matt joined Sister Pictures in January 2017 as Head of Finance, and oversees all financial aspects of the company. Prior to Sister Pictures, Matt was Head of Finance at Shine TV, having joined in 2011, and was responsible for the financial management and reporting across a range of some of the UK’s most successful factual entertainment programmes including MasterChefThe Island with Bear Grylls and Hunted. Matt joined the Shine Group in 2010, and as part of the Group Finance function worked across the sale of the group to News Corporation in April 2011.

Matt is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He trained at city firm Moore Stephens, qualifying in 2008.

Gabbi joined Sister Pictures in April 2019. After graduating in 2014 with a BA in Media and Communication Studies, she worked for two years as an executive assistant, marketing coordinator and director’s assistant at an independent film distributor working across commercially driven digital and theatrical releases. This was followed by some travel and seven months of employment in Wellington, New Zealand at the Department of Internal Affairs.
